India’s IndiGo to fly thrice daily to Sri Lanka’s Colombo




  • India’s IndiGo, a fast-expanding budget carrier said it will fly to Sri Lanka’s capital from Chennai and Bangalore, making it the Gurgaon based airlines 08th international destination. “We are hopeful that these new flights will provide affordable and unmatchable travel experience to our passengers across the country and beyond,” Sanjay Kumar, Chief Commercial Officer, IndiGo said in a statement. Indian tourists and workers could use the flights, he said.

    Malinga Arsakularatne, Managing Director of Hemas Leisure Travel Aviation Group, general sales agents for IndiGo said he expected fast passenger growth. IndiGo (InterGlobe Aviation) set up in 2006, InterGlobe Enterprises of Rahul Bhatia and Caelum Investments, a US based firm of Rakesh Gangwal, a non-resident Indian.
